PENGARUH LAYANAN KONSELING KELOMPOK TEKNIK PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP PENGURANGAN PERILAKU MEMBOLOS SISWA KELAS XI DI SMA N 6 PEMATANGSIANTAR
Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of problem-solving group counseling on truancy in grade XI students at SMA N 6 Pematangsiantar. The research approach was pre-experimental with a single-group research design (one group pretest-posttest design). The subjects were grades XI M-3, XI M-6, and XI M-10 students at SMA N 6 Pematangsiantar, with a total population of 30 respondents. Through data screening, 10 students were selected as research subjects. The data collection method used a closed-ended questionnaire with a truancy behavior scale. The overall average pre-test score was 160.100 and the post-test score was 115.400, with a decrease of 44.700, or 27.92%. This research data analysis used the Wilcoxon test to test the hypothesis. Based on the results of the data analysis using the Wilcoxon test with SPSS Statistics version 25, the Asymp Sig. (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05 (0.012 < 0.05), and the Z value was -2.527. This means there was a difference in the decrease in truancy behavior of students from high to low levels after being provided with problem-solving group counseling services. In other words, the hypothesis in this study was accepted. The results of the study indicate that problem-solving group counseling services have an effect on reducing truancy behavior in 11th-grade students at SMA N 6 Pematangsiantar.
