Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic economics in supporting sustainable village development in Pacitan Regency. The problem in this study focuses on how the application of Islamic economic principles can improve the welfare of village communities through fair, productive, and sustainable economic management. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies related to Islamic economics and village development. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic economics plays a significant role in sustainable village development through strengthening community micro-enterprises, developing Islamic cooperatives, optimizing zakat, infaq, sedekah, and productive waqf, as well as increasing community-based economic empowerment. The application of the principles of justice, transparency, and partnership in Islamic economics can create economic equality and reduce social disparities in villages. In addition, support from village governments and Islamic financial institutions is a crucial factor in increasing the success of village development oriented towards community welfare and economic sustainability. Thus, Islamic economics can be an alternative strategy in realizing independent, inclusive, and sustainable village development in Pacitan Regency.
