Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of kinesiology movements as a stimulation medium to develop the motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Tunas Kusuma. This research using a qualitative approach with observation and demonstration methods and involved 12 children as participants and five kinesiology exercises - Kepala Pusing, Buka Tutup, Pesawat Terbang, Sehat Bugar, and Naik Turun - were performed repeatedly to assess improvements in coordination, balance and body control. The results showed a significant increase in motor skills following the training sessions. Analysis based on motor behavior theories such as the Dynamic System Theory and Richard Magill’s theory supports that kinesiology training can holistically enhance gross and fine motor skills. The study concludes that structured and enjoyable kinesiology activities can serve as an effective method to support young children's physical and socio-emotional development.
