INOVASI PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH DALAM MENGHADAPI PERUBAHAH KARAKTERISTIK PESERTA DIDIK DI ERA DIGITAL
Abstract
The development of digital technology has brought changes to the way students access information and participate in the learning process. These changes have become both a challenge and an opportunity for history learning, which has often been associated with memorizing facts and past events. This article aims to discuss innovations in history learning in response to changes in students’ characteristics in the digital era. The method used in this article is a literature review by examining various scholarly sources related to history learning, digital media, digital literacy, and technological developments in education. The discussion shows that innovations in history learning can be implemented through the use of interactive e-books, learning videos, blogs, social media, digital maps, web-based historical sources, and artificial intelligence technology. The use of these media can help create more interactive learning that is relevant to the characteristics of students in the digital era. In addition, the use of technology needs to be accompanied by strengthening digital literacy and historical literacy so that students are able to select, verify, compare, and critically analyze historical information. Teachers also play an important role in guiding the use of technology so that it does not merely serve as a tool for obtaining information but also supports students’ historical thinking processes. Therefore, innovations in history learning in the digital era should focus on the appropriate, critical, and contextual use of technology so that history learning remains relevant to students’ development and the needs of education today.
